Tendon Kohaku, Japanese tempura restaurant chain, is coming to Seattle

Tendon Kohaku — one of the biggest Asian restaurant chains to debut on the Eastside in recent years — plans to expand to Seattle’s Chinatown International District in 2026, according to a liquor license permit request filed with the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board. The application was posted publicly in the CID on Monday.

The Tokyo-based tempura chain, which made its American debut in downtown Bellevue in June 2024, drew hourslong lines that entire summer.
